Do you get frustrated by not knowing?
Oct 22, 2024
Few things are as frustrating as not knowing.
Not knowing what you want.
Not knowing where you're going.
Not knowing who you are.
Not knowing what the next step is.
Not knowing what's around the next corner.
Not knowing how things will work out.
Sometimes, we just don’t know. It can feel like you're completely stuck when you don’t have the answers. It can feel like there’s an urgent need to figure everything out. All your brain cells are fired up, trying to come up with solutions. And the frustration grows as your thoughts hit dead ends.
But not knowing can have its own beauty when you accept that you don’t know and that your mind can't puzzle out the answer. You can lean into the here and now, certain of at least one thing: you don’t know.
The wonderful thing about leaning in, heavy and relaxed, to not knowing is that it’s where solutions often lie hidden. In the passing of time. In focusing on other things. In trusting that everything will work out, even if you can’t see how just yet. Suddenly, your inner wisdom shows you the answer. Or things sort themselves out. Or you realise it wasn’t so important after all.
Most importantly, you save yourself a lot of frustration and misery while you wait to know. And that’s rather lovely, isn’t it?
